Araqchi held a telephone conversation with senior Hamas official Bassem Naim to discuss the latest developments in Palestine and regional issues, including ongoing diplomatic efforts and negotiations involving Iran.
In the call, Araqchi stressed that support for the Palestinian cause remains a principled and permanent policy of the Islamic Republic and said Iran will continue its political backing until Palestinians achieve their full legitimate national rights, Al Mayadeen reported.
The Iranian foreign minister also said Tehran intends to keep the Palestinian issue on the agenda in its diplomatic engagements and international contacts and will continue highlighting Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in international forums.
The two sides also exchanged views on recent regional developments and ongoing diplomatic processes.
The remarks came as indirect contacts and negotiations involving Iran and the US continue with mediation efforts by regional actors.
Araqchi emphasized that developments in Palestine remain central to regional stability and reiterated Iran’s longstanding position in support of Palestinian rights.
Meanwhile, Palestinian officials have continued to warn about the humanitarian and security situation in the occupied territories, citing ongoing military operations, settlement expansion, and attacks against Palestinian communities in Gaza and the West Bank.
They say the continuation of violence and displacement threatens conditions on the ground and further complicates prospects for lasting peace and stability in the region.
