Iran Exercises Full Authority over Strait of Hormuz: Military Headquarters

In a statement released on Saturday night, the headquarters said that given the integrated management of the strategic waterway, all ships, commercial vessels, and oil tankers are required to navigate exclusively through designated routes and obtain authorization from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy.

The statement warned that any vessel failing to comply with these regulations would face serious risks to the security of its passage.

The headquarters also cautioned that any attempt by military vessels to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt maritime traffic would be met with a response from the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
