Pakistan Top General Holds Talks with Senior Iranian Officials in Tehran

Field Marshal Munir met with Pezeshkian in Tehran on Saturday, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan, as well as regional developments and ways to strengthen cooperation in various fields.

He also met with Qalibaf on the same day, with discussions focusing on expanding parliamentary and political ties, alongside regional issues of mutual concern. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and engagement between Tehran and Islamabad.

The Pakistani army chief also held talks with Araqchi on Saturday afternoon. The meeting followed an earlier round of discussions held on Friday night, which reportedly continued until late hours and centered on key regional and diplomatic developments.

During the Friday meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the latest diplomatic initiatives aimed at preventing further escalation of tensions and contributing to efforts to end the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.

They also underlined the importance of strengthening peace, stability, and security in West Asia through regional dialogue and diplomacy.

Field Marshal Munir’s visit marks his second recent trip to Tehran amid ongoing Pakistani diplomatic engagement and mediation efforts related to regional de-escalation initiatives and Iran-US contacts.
