During a telephone conversation on Friday, Araqchi and Kallas discussed regional and international developments.

The Iranian foreign minister informed the EU foreign policy chief about Iran’s latest diplomatic efforts and initiatives to bring an end to the US-Israeli war against Iran and to establish peace in the region.

For her part, Kallas expressed concern over the security and economic consequences of continued tensions in the region and stressed the European Union’s principled position in support of diplomacy aimed at achieving lasting peace and security in the region.
