The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when armed assailants targeted a law enforcement patrol operating in Zahedan, in Sistan and Balouchestan Province, as the unit was engaged in maintaining public security.

The attack resulted in the martyrdom of Sergeant Major Mohammad Reza Nezamdoost, while three other Police forces sustained injuries.

Efforts are ongoing to capture the attackers.
