In a statement released on Sunday, the Ministry of Intelligence said that the perpetrators of several shooting incidents against public gatherings in Kerman’s Azadi Square have been identified and detained.

The ministry stated that, through a series of intelligence and operational measures carried out in cooperation with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Law Enforcement Command of Kerman Province, and the provincial judiciary, its forces successfully identified and carried out the swift arrest of the main terrorist responsible for shooting at people present in night gatherings at Azadi Square, along with three of his accomplices, including two men and one woman.

It added that the individuals had opened fire on a gathering held in condemnation of the US-Israeli war of aggression, resulting in injuries to two men and a young girl.

The detainees are reportedly affiliated with a monarchist-linked group operating under the direction of the Zionist regime.

The Intelligence Ministry further reported that several firearms, hunting weapons, a significant amount of ammunition and explosives, and explosive devices were discovered and confiscated from the terrorist cell.
