Ayatollah Marvi paid a visit to the northeastern military headquarters of Iran, where he met with commanders of the Iranian Army’s ground, air, naval, and air defense forces stationed in the region.
During the meeting, the cleric paid tribute to the Iranian martyrs, particularly late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and senior commanders. He also praised the role of Iran’s military forces in the recent war of aggression imposed by the US and the Zionist regime.
Ayatollah Marvi said that Iran’s military personnel in the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, law enforcement forces, and Basij have all played a significant role in achievements in the recent war, adding that today Iran’s military forces stand proud and have confronted the world’s largest army. The cleric expressed pride in Iran’s “brave and courageous” servicemen.
If there is any notion of pride in the world, it belongs solely to Iran’s military forces, he stated, adding that if any soldier deserves a medal of pride, it should be awarded to Iranian forces, while a symbol of humiliation and disgrace should be attributed to the United States.
He added that the United States and the Israeli regime jointly attacked Iran but failed to achieve any of their objectives.
Ayatollah Marvi reiterated that Iran emerged victorious in the 40-day war, arguing that victory and defeat should not be measured solely by the extent of damage, but by the achievement of objectives. He said the United States initiated the war against Iran to fulfill specific goals, adding that none of its objectives has been actually achieved.
