In a telephone conversation on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi talked about the security and economic consequences arising from the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, including disruptions to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Araqchi pointed to the fact that the insecurity created in the Strait of Hormuz is a direct result of the imposed war by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, stressing the need for all governments to adopt a responsible approach in order to prevent further complications of the current situation.
For his part, the Japanese minister expressed concern over the existing situation and announced Japan’s readiness to help reduce tensions.
