In a statement released on Tuesday, the Army of Iran announced that, in response to the American-Zionist aggressions against Iran's petrochemical industries and other infrastructures, the Iranian forces targeted the "power generation unit and fuel storage facility of the petrochemical industries" in southern occupied territories near Dimona, the "repair and maintenance center of the US Navy at Port of Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates", and the radar systems and housing buildings for American forces at Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait with extensive drone attacks.
The statement added that the Dimona industrial area holds significant importance for the economy and security of the Zionist regime and is home to the largest chemical complex of the regime in the Negev Desert. It noted that the power generation unit and fuel storage facility for the petrochemical industries are located in that area, and its chemicals are used for some military purposes of the Zionist regime.
Moreover, the statement mentioned that the US Navy maintenance center at Port of Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates serves as one of the largest docking ports for US Navy vessels in the region, providing crucial support and maintenance for the vessels of the US fleet.
Lastly, it was noted that Ahmad Al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait hosts American military forces and features radar systems along with hangars capable of accommodating various military aircraft, where the 332nd Air Force unit of the United States is stationed.
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
