Following the early morning attack by the US-Zionist enemy on Sharif University of Technology, Massoud Tajrishi, the president of the university, along with several deputies as well as Hossein Afshin, Iran's vice president for science and technology, and Iranian Economy Minister Ali Madanizadeh, who are faculty members of the university, visited the affected area at the university.
During this visit, Tajrishi observed the damages caused by the strike to one of the buildings of Sharif, stating that this university, as a scientific institution dedicated to cultural work and the advancement of science in the country, is now confronted with the barbarity of its enemies.
He expressed hope that the Iranian Armed Forces in the battlefield would provide an appropriate response and asserted that as a scientific and cultural institution, through the reconstruction of this space and the development of science, they would elevate the country to a position where it could emerge as a major scientific power in the world for future generations.
According to reports, the attack of Sharif University did not result in any casualties. Additionally, considering the strike on the information technology building, the Sharif newspaper reported that due to the precautions taken beforehand, backup copies of the university's data in educational, research, and administrative areas were available, alleviating any concerns.
Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref posted a message on his X account in response to the heinous attack on the academic center, saying, “The bunker-buster bomb attack on Sharif University is a symbol of Trump's sanity and ignorance. He does not understand that Iran's knowledge is not in concrete to be destroyed by a bomb; the real stronghold is the will of our professors and elites."
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
