The senior Iranian security official stated on Saturday that Iran is proceeding in line with a predefined strategy and target bank, emphasizing that the country has a “big surprise” in store for the US and the Israeli regime in response to their military aggression against Iranians.
The official criticized recent remarks by US President Donald Trump regarding so-called “dynamic targets,” describing the term as meaningless in military affairs. He argued that such statements reflect a lack of precision in US targeting, while asserting that Iran is acting based on clear planning and well-defined objectives.
The official further noted that repeated failures in US military operations—particularly following the downing of multiple aircraft—have pushed Washington to rely on media narratives to compensate for weaknesses on the battlefield. In this context, he dismissed the mention of targets such as bridges as “ridiculous.”
The official also stressed that Iran has developed effective strategies in asymmetric warfare, enabling it to gradually wear down its adversaries. He added that the United States has already failed in its approach of conducting a “clean, quick, and easy” military campaign.
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
