Images of the remaining parts of the aircraft obtained by a Tasnim reporter prove the fact.
Tasnim’s correspondent in military affairs believes that given that only one engine exhaust is visible in the image, it can be assumed that the downed fighter jet is an F-16 or F-35; more likely an F-16.
A few hours ago, several fighter jets flew over some cities in the country, including Tehran, when they were surprised by heavy fire from the armed forces’ air defense units.
Some of these fighter jets tried to evade the air defense fire by launching flares, but evidence indicates that one of these fighter jets was probably shot down.
