In a statement released on April 1 in commemoration of the Islamic Republic Day, the Foreign Ministry said that the day marks the establishment of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran and represents a lasting manifestation of the will of the great Iranian nation in realizing the lofty ideals of “independence” and “freedom,” as well as a turning point in Iran’s contemporary history.

It added that on this day, the proud Iranian nation, through a decisive vote, chose the path of religious democracy and presented a new model of governance based on national will and Islamic moral values.

The Foreign Ministry, while commemorating this decisive day, honored the memory of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and the high-ranking martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, the Sacred Defense, the defenders of security and national authority, as well as all martyrs of the imposed war of June 2025 and the recent imposed war. It emphasized the continuation of their luminous path, which is the independence, dignity, and pride of Iran.

The statement further said that at a time when the Islamic Republic of Iran is facing an unjust and imposed war by the United States and the Zionist regime against the country’s existence, the great Iranian nation has once again demonstrated its grandeur, insight, faith, and patriotism, showing unity and cohesion in the face of hostile enemies through its smart and decisive support for the defenders of the homeland.

It noted that April 1 symbolizes the victory of the Iranian nation’s will over oppression, domination, and arrogance, adding that today this enemy-breaking will is evident across the country in confronting military aggression against Iran, hybrid warfare, economic pressures, and psychological operations by ill-wishers.

The Foreign Ministry underscored that, based on the fundamental principles of dignity, wisdom, and expediency in foreign policy, and in full adherence to the directives of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, it remains firmly determined to defend the country’s independence, national sovereignty, and Iran’s national interests and security.

It added that the Foreign Ministry will continue to move forward in coordination and solidarity with all pillars of the system, including the proud defenders of the homeland.
