Following a drone attack on the home of Nechirvan Barzani, Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi released a message, condemning the terrorist act and wishing the KRG president good health.

Highlighting the long history of the Zionist regime and the United States in inciting discord and division among the countries of the region and their neighbors, including through false flag operations, Araqchi emphasized the responsibility of all governments and international institutions to hold the Zionist regime and the US accountable and punish them for their brutal aggression against Iran and their illegal and terrorist attacks on Iraq.

A drone attack targeted the home of Barzani in Duhok early on Saturday, security sources ‌said, adding that air defenses also shot down a drone ​near a Peshmerga fighters’ base in the city.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani condemned the attack on Barzani’s home and spoke with ​him by phone, his office said.

Sudani ordered the creation of a ‌joint ⁠federal-Kurdistan security and technical team to investigate the incidents and identify those responsible.
