Yemen Formally Steps In, Fires Missiles at Israel Amid US-Israeli War on Iran

In a statement issued on Saturday, March 28, the Armed Forces of Yemen declared that they have carried out their first military operation by firing ballistic missiles at the sensitive military targets of the Zionist regime in southern occupied Palestine.

The statement indicated that this action was in line with Yemen’s previous announcement about direct military intervention in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resistance fronts in Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine.

The Yemeni forces highlighted that, given the ongoing military escalation, targeting of infrastructure, and the perpetration of crimes and killings against their brothers in Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, and Palestine, they executed their first military operation by firing ballistic missiles at sensitive military targets of the Zionist regime in southern occupied Palestine.

General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated that this operation coincided with the heroic actions of Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon and successfully struck its targets, with God's grace.

The statement also affirmed that Yemen’s operations would continue until the declared objectives are achieved and until the aggression ceases on all fronts of resistance.

The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.

The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
