Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Gets New Secretary

Mohammad Mahdi Tabatabaei, the deputy for information at the Office of the Iranian President, announced on Tuesday, March 24, that Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr has been appointed as the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council with the approval and consent of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei and by the decree of President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Zolqadr used to serve as the secretary of the Expediency Council.
