The attack, which struck the "Sheytat 13" special mission unit headquarters at the Atlit base, was in response to Israeli incursions into Lebanese territories, particularly in the southern suburbs.
"In response to the criminal aggressions of the Zionist enemy against dozens of cities and settlements in Lebanon, especially the southern suburbs, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted this morning, Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 4:10 AM, the headquarters of the 'Sheytat 13' special mission unit of the Israeli army at the Atlit base in southern Haifa with unique missiles," the Hezbollah statement read.
The statement concludes with verses from the Quran: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Permission is granted to those who fight because they have been wronged, and indeed Allah is Able to help them. Those who have been expelled from their homes without justification, except that they say, 'Our Lord is Allah'. Allah has spoken the truth, the Highest, the Greatest."
