The IRGC stated that it launched an assault on the Israeli military establishments using destructive drones, focusing on the observation tower, runway, and hangars of the Palmahim and Ovbeda airbases, as well as the Shin Bet headquarters.
The Palmahim airbase, located near Tel Aviv, serves as a launch site for satellites and missile tests for Israel, and is home to missile defense systems such as David's Sling and Hermes 900 drones.
Ovebda airbase is considered a strategic facility and an Israeli Air Force training base, historically housing F-22 fighter jets from the United States.
Shin Bet, the internal security agency of Israel, functions as the operational core, and is responsible for commanding security operations, coordinating the protection of VIPs and vital facilities.
