In a message posted on his X account on Sunday, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf denounced Trump’s shifting remarks about oil prices and warned that the ongoing conflict could have serious consequences for the global energy market and international interests.
“Trump said that oil prices would not rise very much; now that they have risen, he says they will soon be corrected!” Qalibaf said.
“If the war continues like this, there will be neither a way to sell oil nor the ability to produce it,” the Iranian official warned.
“Not only the interests of the United States, but also the interests of the countries of the region and the world are being burned for Netanyahu’s delusions,” he added.
The United States and the Zionist regime launched a large-scale military campaign against Iran following the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
