Identity of 69 Martyred School Students Still Unknown after US-Israeli Strikes

Hossein Sadeghi, head of the Information and Public Relations Center of the Ministry of Education, told the Tasnim News Agency that from the total of 168 students who were martyred in the inhumane attack by the US and Israeli regime on the school, the identities of 99 individuals have been fully verified and their names have been released.

He said the remaining 69 students are still unaccounted for and their identities have not yet been confirmed.

To complete the identification of these students, Sadeghi said families will need to provide DNA samples so that definitive identification can be made.

The girls’ elementary school in Minab was struck during joint United States and Israeli military aggression against Iran on February 28, 2026, part of a broader offensive that targeted multiple civilian locations across the country and resulted in heavy civilian casualties.

Iranian state media and officials have condemned the attacks on Iranian infrastructures by the US and Israeli regime, including the attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school while classes were in session, killing 168 innocent children and injuring dozens more.
