Four Killed in Israeli Regime Airstrike near Lebanon-Syria Border

The Lebanese health ministry reported that four people were killed in the strike on the border area between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Lebanese media said the air attack by the occupying Israel targeted a car in the town of Majdal Anjar, killing four people.

Separately, Israeli forces carried out several additional attacks in southern Lebanon yesterday, firing machine-gun bursts from the Ruwaisat al-Alam position toward the outskirts of Kfar Shouba while also throwing multiple grenades.

In another development, an Israeli military helicopter dropped a bomb near the outskirts of Markaba, while artillery fire targeted the towns of Blida and Aitaroun.

Earlier the same day, four Israeli soldiers crossed the Blue Line into southern Lebanon, conducted a patrol inside Lebanese territory, and later withdrew.

Continuing the escalation, Israeli airstrikes on Saturday evening and early Sunday hit the town of Baslia, areas between Houmine al-Fawqa and Deir al-Zahrani, and the Jabal al-Rayhan heights.

According to local sources and eyewitnesses, an Israeli drone described as a “«quadcopters»” aircraft dropped a bomb Saturday evening inside a house in the Kasayer neighborhood near Mays al-Jabal.

These attacks form part of repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Three days earlier, Israeli forces entered the outskirts of Odaisseh and detonated two buildings, later moving into Kfar Kila and demolishing another structure.

Israeli artillery also struck the outskirts of Yaroun, damaging two residential homes.

According to international rights reporting, groups including Human Rights Watch and the United Nations Human Rights Office say Israeli attacks have largely targeted infrastructure in ways that disrupt reconstruction.

They also reported occupation-force drones striking road-construction vehicles, water supply lines, and solar-energy installations in key villages such as Tayr Harfa and Aita al-Shaab.

In terms of casualties, the number of Lebanese killed since the ceasefire began on Nov. 27, 2024, has reached about 340, with nearly 1,000 others wounded.

Finally, Israeli forces still occupy five strategic border points that were supposed to be fully evacuated by the end of 2025, actions Lebanese sources say are occurring with a green light from the United States and in view of the ceasefire monitoring committee.
