Iran’s FM in Geneva for Nuclear Talks

Araqchi arrived in Geneva on Sunday night to carry out nuclear negotiations and a range of other diplomatic consultations.
The Iranian foreign minister was welcomed upon arrival by Wolfgang Amadeus Brulhart, the Swiss special envoy for the Middle East and North Africa.
During this visit, Araqchi is scheduled to meet with his counterparts from Switzerland and Oman.
He will also participate in the United Nations Conference on Disarmament and will outline the positions and views of Iran regarding the items on the agenda of this body.
In a post on his X account on Monday morning, Araqchi said he is joined by nuclear experts to hold a meetings with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi on Monday “for deep technical discussion”
The Iranian foreign minister noted that he will also meet his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi “ahead of diplomacy with US on Tuesday”.
“I am in Geneva with real ideas to achieve a fair and equitable deal. What is not on the table: submission before threats,” Araqchi underlined.
The most recent round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States were held on February 6 in Muscat with Oman mediating the talks.
Araqchi and US special envoy Steve Witkoff had represented Tehran and Washington in the talks.
