Iranian FM, Top General Go to Parliament

The lawmakers held a closed-door meeting this morning prior to the open session to discuss the course of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US.

As Major General Mousavi and Foreign Minister Araqchi took part in the session, the MPs discussed the latest status of negotiations with the US, as well as regional and international developments.

The session was convened within the framework of the Parliament’s oversight role. The lawmakers presented their views regarding the nuclear talks.

The most recent round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States were held in Muscat on February 6 with Oman mediating the talks.

Araqchi and US special envoy Steve Witkoff represented Tehran and Washington in the talks.
