The tasnimnews.com website address was shut down by the US after the Iranian news agency beefed up a campaign for accurate media activities to inform the public about the true aspects of the recent riots and terrorist activities in Iran.

Experts say the US has banned the Internet domain of Tasnim out of desperation following the Iranian agency’s commitment to genuine and fact-based media activities and its efforts to counter terrorism, violence and intimidation.

The contents of Tasnim have been transferred to www.tasnimnews.ir and are now available at the new Internet address.

The US government blacklisted Tasnim News Agency two years ago under the pretext that the Iranian media outlet acts against separatist groups and rioters.

Tasnim has announced that terrorism and sanctions could by no means dissuade it from reflecting truth or protecting the national interests and Islamic values.
