The Iranian giants were originally scheduled to face the Moroccan club Wydad AC, but the match was canceled after Wydad withdrew. Meanwhile, the Chinese club Shanghai has reportedly expressed interest in playing Persepolis during the camp.

Persepolis is currently holding a 10-day training camp at the Aspire Zone in Doha, Qatar, as part of its preparations for the second half of the 2025-26 Iran Professional League season.

The Tehran-based club is among the main contenders for the title and currently sit second in the standings, two points behind league leader Sepahan.
