The Iranian team has been pitted in Group A against Hong Kong, Singapore and Kazakhstan.

Iran will play Kazakhstan on Tuesday.

Group B consists of host Japan, the Philippines, China and Saudi Arabia.

The water polo competition will continue until November 20 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium indoor pool.
