The Iranian team has been drawn in Group A along with Hong Kong, Singapore and Kazakhstan.

Group B consists of host Japan, the Philippines, China and Saudi Arabia.

Iran will open the campaign on Monday with a match against Singapore.

The water polo competition will take place until November 20 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium indoor pool.
