In the match held at the Nilai Indoor Stadium in Nilia, Malaysia, Sara Sherbeigi emerged as the leading scorer at the end of Match Day 1 with four goals.

Fahimeh Zarei  and Fereshteh Karimi also scored one goal each for the Iranian team.

Iran will play Uzbekistan and host Malaysia on Tuesday and Wednesday respectievly.

Group B consists of Vietnam, Japan, China and Thailand.

Two best teams from each group will get through.
