RASHT (Tasnim) – Footchal, a traditional local sport similar to football played in rice paddies, is popular among farmers in northern Iran, particularly in Gilan Province. This year’s competition was held in the village of Kuy-e-Sofla, in Rudsar County, to mark the rice harvest season.
