Reacting to the Sunday night’s US military aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi said, “These aggressive actions will receive an appropriate response.”
“We view this aggression within the framework of a military attack against our country,” he said, adding that, as Iran’s Armed Forces have demonstrated, “any aggression against our territorial integrity, at whatever level, will be met with a decisive response.”
Gharibabadi further stressed the need for foreign forces to leave the region, saying, “The presence of foreigners must be eliminated from this region,” adding that they should receive serious lessons so that they would not repeat their aggression against Iran.
The IRGC announced earlier that it had carried out a combined missile-and-drone strike on US facilities at Jordan’s King Hussein and Al-Azraq air bases in retaliation for an American attack on Larak Island, warning of “more devastating responses” to further aggression.
Separately, the Iranian Army said it launched dozens of attack drones at US helicopters and personnel at Al Minhad air base in the UAE, also in retaliation for the Larak attack.
