In a statement marking Iran’s Journalist Day on August 8, the IRGC said the region and the world are witnessing one of the most complex and consequential conflicts in modern history following the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.
The statement said the US and the Zionist regime have failed to achieve their stated objectives in their second and third wars imposed against Iran despite extensive military actions and media operations.
It said the unprovoked wars against Iran have instead exposed a strategic deadlock, divisions among Western allies and the declining influence of the US and its allies.
The IRGC noted that international media have acknowledged Washington’s failure to overcome the Islamic Republic, referring to reports describing US President Donald Trump’s war against Iran as a “defeat” and a “self-made trap.”
It further stated that the understandings reached afterward amounted to nothing more than an “American surrender document” in the face of realities on the ground and Iran’s negotiating power.
The IRGC attributed Iran’s military strength and active deterrence to strategic foresight, the resilience of the Iranian people and broad support for the Armed Forces, particularly the IRGC, as well as the efforts of revolutionary media outlets in confronting enemy “lies and hostile exaggerations.”
The statement also warned that Iran’s adversaries have employed the full range of hybrid and cyber warfare capabilities, including artificial intelligence, in an attempt to distort facts, create a divide between the Iranian people and the Islamic Republic, and target national social cohesion and unity.
