Israeli Regime Continues Strikes, Forced Displacement in Lebanon

The Zionist regime also continues to order the forced displacement of towns and villages in southern Lebanon, telling residents of at least nine locations to flee for their lives.
The Israeli regime has launched another wave of deadly attacks across southern Lebanon, killing several people and hitting residential areas, roads and towns before dawn, Lebanon’s official National News Agency reported.
The agency said Israeli warplanes struck Doueir, destroying a residential building and killing a young man called Hassan Youssef Sarhan. Another person suffered critical injuries.
In Habboush, an Israeli strike killed Dr. Mohammad Jaafar Ahmad Saeed Nehme in his hometown, while a separate attack on the same town killed Hassan Nidal Jouni.
Israeli aircraft also bombed Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Zibdine, Shoukin and Jebchit, as artillery fire hit Kfar Tebnit, Kfar Reman and areas around Mayfadoun.
Another Israeli strike on Qalawiya Tower killed one person and wounded another, Al Jazeera reported.
Near Tyre, Israeli warplanes struck close to Jabal Amel Hospital, targeting the Bank Audi area. In Khiam, Israeli forces carried out a heavy machinegun sweep and a major demolition operation in Bab al-Thaniya.
The latest killing raises the number of people killed by the Israeli regime on Friday to at least five.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem has rejected the ceasefire deal as a “farce”, warning that northern parts of occupied territories will remain a target for fighters as long as the Israeli regime continues to bomb Lebanon.
Hezbollah said it has launched three retaliatory attacks on Israeli military positions in southern Lebanon over a 24-hour period.
In statements issued via Telegram, the resistance group reported a rocket salvo targeting Israeli soldiers on the outskirts of Wadi al-Hujeir, an area east of the coastal town of Tyre near the Litani River, at 9 pm local time (18:00 GMT) on Thursday. It later announced two separate artillery barrages against gatherings of Israeli vehicles and troops on the outskirts of the town of Haddatha – located northeast of Tyre near the Israeli border, the first at 11:30 pm (20:30 GMT) Thursday and the second at 12:30 am (21:30 GMT) on Friday.
