In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi briefed his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on developments related to the ceasefire and negotiations between Iran and the United States to end the war in the region.
Araqchi described the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran as a flagrant crime against global peace and security, and emphasized the responsibility of all governments and the United Nations to hold the aggressors accountable and to condemn and punish the perpetrators and instigators of those crimes.
Referring to the intensification of the military aggression of the Zionist regime against Lebanon, Araqchi emphasized the firm support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the legitimate resistance of the people of Lebanon against the occupying aggressors.
For his part, Fidan recalled Turkey's support for existing initiatives to end the war throughout the region.
He also called for vigilance by all parties against the Zionist regime's conspiracies to continue destabilization and the normalization of lawbreaking and crimes in the region.
