Source: Two Israeli Power Plants Added to List of Iran Targets

Following the claim by Reuters, citing an Israeli military official, that Israel is preparing to attack Iranian energy facilities, sources close to decision-making authorities in Iran told the Tasnim news agency that "Two of the main power plants supplying electricity to the Israeli regime have been added to the "bank of targets" of the Joint War Room of the Resistance Front."

The decision is assessed within the framework of the "counter-response" policy of Tehran and is considered to indicate readiness to respond to any threat against Iran's vital infrastructure.

Earlier, Reuters quoted a senior Israeli military official as saying on Saturday that Israel is preparing to attack Iranian energy ‌facilities but is awaiting a green light from the United States.

The official added that any such attacks would likely come within the next week.

The ‌comments came after US President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran.
