Abbas Araqchi held a telephone conversation with the UAE’s Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday to discuss regional and international developments.

During the conversation, Araqchi updated his Emirati counterpart on the latest developments and progress in the Iran-US nuclear talks.

The two diplomats also emphasized the importance of continuing consultations among regional countries in order to safeguard common interests and preserve regional stability and security.

Iran and the US have held two rounds of indirect nuclear negotiations in recent weeks, mediated by Oman.

The third round of talks is scheduled to take place in Geneva on Thursday, February 26.
