In his message marking Japan’s National Day, Pezeshkian congratulated the government and people of Japan and underscored the importance of deepening the historic and friendly relations between Tehran and Tokyo, as well as strengthening bilateral and international cooperation.

The president expressed satisfaction with the longstanding ties between the two countries and voiced hope that practical and effective steps would be taken to consolidate and expand cooperation across various fields.

Referring to the principled approach of Iran’s foreign policy aimed at enhancing regional and international peace and security, Pezeshkian welcomed Japan’s responsible role on the global stage.

He stated that Japan, relying on a dialogue-based approach, could play an effective part in reducing tensions, strengthening stability, and promoting diplomatic solutions in the West Asia region on the basis of dialogue, cooperation, equality, and mutual respect.

The Iranian president also wished the prime minister, the government, and the people of Japan growing prosperity and success.
