The new aircraft that came into service under an order issued by Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Amir Hatami are expected to significantly boost the operational capabilities of the Army’s four branches.
The drones have been developed by Army specialists in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, based on emerging threats and the lessons learned from the 12-day war imposed in June 2025.
The UAVs have been designed in destructive, offensive, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare categories, with the capability to target specific fixed and mobile objectives across land, sea, and air domains.
Following the order for the induction of land-based and sea-based drones, Major General Hatami said that maintaining and enhancing strategic advantages remain a constant priority for the Army in light of future threats.
The commander noted that these efforts are aimed at ensuring rapid combat readiness and delivering crushing responses to any act of aggression.
