Addressing a conference on Military Medicine of the Armed Forces of SCO Member States, held on Monday, General Hassan Araqizadeh, the head of the Health and Medical Department of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, described the gathering as a valuable opportunity to share experiences and innovative approaches.
He stated that enhancing general medical training and cultivating skilled specialists --particularly under wartime conditions-- has become increasingly vital, adding that conducting realistic drills is now an essential requirement.
Expressing confidence in the potential of the SCO member states’ armed forces to collaborate effectively, the Iranian general proposed expanding cooperation through joint scientific conferences, collaborative research projects, short-term workshops on military medicine, and the transfer of war-wounded personnel to hospitals within member countries for treatment.
