On Friday, Hosseini finished in first place in the women’s 81kg weight category.

She came first in the class with 227 (102+125).

Japanese Motoka Nakajima won a silver with 223kg (100+123) and Kazakhstan’s Aisha Omarova earned a bronze by lifting 217kg (124+93).

On Thursday, Masoud Chatraei had won a bronze medal in the men’s 89kg weight class by lifting 358kg in total.

The 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships are being held in Manama, Bahrain from October 6 to 16.
