Iran defeated Puerto Rico 81-68 Tuesday night at the Daugavpils Olympic Center in Group B.

Iran had lost to Serbia and Latvia in group stage.

Piter Girgoorian collected 24 points for Iran and Phillip Wheeler scored 18 points for Puerto Rico.

The tournament is being hosted in Riga and Daugavpils, Latvia from July 3 to 11.
